I’m back in Halifax now and going off of the Dipper and Mabel gifs I did before, I wanted to do one of Bill! I’ve been working on it off and on for most of this week but it’s been a fun exercise. Mabel and Dipper’s gifs have been inbetweened now so expect cleaned up/coloured/shaded versions of those up sometime in the future too.
Guess who has caught up on the latest episodes of Gravity Falls?
Got the idea for these while talking with my friend cecameron (she also does some seriously wicked Gravity Falls art. Check it out!) and decided that I’d key/breakdown these out while I’m still running on some late night coffee. Wanted to play around with the whole “I’ll be watching you!” from Bill and started overthinking triangular shapes that appear regularly on the Pines Twins.
I don’t know if I’ll be able to finish them off while I’m in Toronto but I’ll definitely be coming back to these to polish them up.
I used to make these little comics about little things that’d go on from time to time. This was the time I made icing from scratch through stubborness and frustration. Victory was sweet and capuccino flavoured.
Finally finished an updated version of my demo reel for 2013/2014. This covers some of what I’ve been working on while at Copernicus Studios Inc. over the last few years. The breakdown for the reel is here if you want to see it.
We went to the beach this weekend and I can honestly say I’ve been burnt in places I’ve never been burned before. Seriously, the back of my knees? The bottom curve of my belly button? That’s like some anime cell shading right there!
That said, we had an awesome time at the beach. And we made a few friends while flying our dollar store Spiderman kite!
This is my ukulele cover of “Winter” Trees by The Staves. At first I was finger picking the tune just to see if I could figure it out and was surprised that it sounded okay. I’m still kind of worried that it sounds a little two chunky when things mix up but it’s definitely a lot smoother than before and I’m pretty happy with it.
I love The Staves so much, everything they sing sounds so natural and grounded. I’d love to go on a long road trip with their CD playing most of the way.
I got most of this done during the first bout of Iron Zombies on Saturday but I wanted to polish it up a bit and make it look a little more fancy. I mixed in a bit of the palette challenge for it and all in all, it was a lot of fun! Definitely good practice. Big thank you to Zalia for organizing it all and reminding me about it. ;v;
Guess who just finished S1 M9 of Zombie’s, Run. Not gonna put any spoilers here but that just doubled my love for Sam about five times over. When I get some time, most likely tomorrow what with Canada Day celebrations going on tonight I’m going to try and finish this up with a scheme from one of those palette challenges.
